GKA Freestyle Kite World Cup

The powerful waters of Nuevo Nayarit, located on Mexico’s Pacific coast, provided the perfect backdrop for the GKA Freestyle Kite World Cup. For the first time in history, the venue was included on the calendar of one of the most prestigious freestyle kitesurfing events in the world. In a paradise-like setting, the sport’s top freestyle specialists took full advantage of the waves and wind to showcase their most spectacular tricks.

Spain’s Clàudia León arrived eager for victory after overcoming a serious knee injury in 2023 that had slowed her progress. The reigning world champion, Bruna Kajiya, was determined to defend her crown and would not make things easy. And we should not overlook Martyna Konkel, a competitor who is certainly one to watch.
