Wind, waves, speed and a head-to-head battle. That’s what unfolded on the German island of Sylt, which became the epicentre of kitesurfing for the second and final round of the GKA Kite World Cup. An island with unique natural surroundings, endless beaches, and the stage that would ultimately crown the world champions.

He knew he had to reproduce the level he had shown last February at the opening event, held in his native Cape Verde. On that occasion, he stepped onto the third spot of the podium and, at the very least, wanted to match that result.
